How to Choose

Before you buy

01 · Coverage that fits your run

Local and back? A solid front cam does the job. OTR? A 3-channel that catches the cab and the rear pays for itself the first incident.

02 · Parking mode

Most damage happens while you're shut down at a truck stop. Parking mode keeps recording on impact — just plan for a hardwire kit.

03 · Heat tolerance

A cab in July cooks cheap electronics. Look for a capacitor (not battery) build rated for high temps so it doesn't die on you.

04 · Night & plate detail

Footage only helps if it reads a plate at 2 a.m. Prioritize real low-light performance over a bigger headline resolution number.
