01 · Socks are the highest-value thing on this page
Nothing else here changes your day as much per dollar. You are in boots ten to fourteen hours, your feet swell, and a bad sock turns into a hot spot and then a blister a hundred miles from anywhere. Buy the multipack.
02 · Layers, not one heavy coat
A truck goes from a heated cab to a windy dock and back a dozen times a day. A thermal base, a fleece, and a shell you can shed beats one big coat every time — you can adjust without stopping.
03 · Full zip over pullover, always
Taking a pullover off while belted into a seat is a two-minute wrestling match. A zip is three seconds. It sounds trivial until you have done it fifteen times in a shift.
04 · Why the cheap stuff is the right call here
This is workwear. It is going to get diesel on it, catch on a fifth wheel handle, and live in a duffel. Buying premium brands to destroy them is a choice. Basics you can replace without flinching is the better play — and these wash well enough to last a season or three.
05 · Sizing note
The slim-fit thermals run snug on purpose so they layer flat. If you are between sizes on those, size up. The oversized hoodie runs the other way — it is cut roomy by design, so take your normal size.
